Each profile is a separate Claude account with its own login credentials. Meridian stores them in isolated config directories and switches between them instantly.
meridian profile add <name>
Either way the profile gets its own config directory and is ready to use immediately.
Only the CLI offers to adopt existing ~/.claude credentials as a profile;
the UI always signs in fresh, so clicking Add can never quietly claim the account
you are already logged in as on this machine.
meridian profile switch <name>x-meridian-profile: <name> headermeridian profile login <name>
Claude will only redirect back to localhost or 127.0.0.1 — those are the
addresses registered for this client. Browsing Meridian on any other hostname, the panel
asks for the code instead; the bare code or the whole callback URL both work.
meridian profile list — show all profiles and auth statusmeridian profile login <name> — re-authenticate an expired profilemeridian profile rename <old> <new> — rename a profile (or use the pencil above)meridian profile remove <name> — remove a profile
Renaming keeps the old name working: requests still naming it are served by the renamed profile, so nothing breaks mid-flight. That redirect is dropped as soon as the old name is taken again by a new profile.
